How to take: DE for Animals

Taking Diatomaceous Earth for Animals

Diatomaceous Earth is completely safe and nontoxic.

Diatomaceous Earth can be mixed right in with the animals feed, whether wet or dry.

Larger Adult Animals = ½ TO 1 CUP per day

Fully grown Cows / Horses
This should be given for a few days to see if there is any discomfort to the animal
Animals should have access to plenty of clean water throughout the day
Diatomaceous Earth for removing internal parasites should be given for between 6-10 weeks and repeated 2 or 3 times a year
Diatomaceous Earth for general health should be given in much smaller doses

Medium Sized Animals = ¼ CUP per day

Adult Sheep / Goats / Pigs
Foals / Calves / Ponies / Alpaca etc
This should be given for a few days to see if there is any discomfort to the animal
Animals should have access to plenty of clean water throughout the day
Diatomaceous Earth for removing internal parasites should be given for between 6-10 weeks and repeated 2 or 3 times a year
Diatomaceous Earth for general health should be given in much smaller doses

Smaller Animals = * 2% by * feed weight

Your livestock will also get the benefit of OVER 90% SILICA and over 14 TRACE MINERALS that make up Diatomaceous Earth.

IMPORTANT:

It is important that if you are giving your pets or animals Diatomaceous Earth for longer that a few weeks, that you try and moisten the Diatomaceous Earth - for example you can mix with foods like cat food or dog food etc.
This helps reduce any long term exposure of the Diatomaceous Earth powder being inhaled into their lungs.
It is also important that you make sure that any animals you give Diatomaceous Earth to have access to plenty of drinking water.

When Diatomaceous Earth is ingested, very little is actually absorbed into the body, the majority is excreted.

Should there be any kind of concern, for any reason, you should immediately reduce the dosage to half and slowly increase over a few weeks.
